How this product is different from competitor products?
Our iCompass product is the only product of its kind that is both able and allowed to convert the DOT’s existing manual gates into automated gates. It is patent protected and currently the only system that has been fully tested and approved by the FHWA. There should not be any direct competitors until after the patent runs out in 2024. We are also a first mover and will be the implementation leader in 2024. The State contracts for WERCGATE fall under request for qualifications (RFQ) processes. It is difficult to be successful on these RFQ’s unless you have the required specialized qualifications. Since these systems fall under the DOT Request for Qualification (RFQ) process it will be very difficult if not impossible for a competitor to propose on these projects and win without the prerequisite experience. Unlike all the competitors and their products, WERCGATE is designed and targeted specifically for these DOTs that have safety mandates that this product falls under. This is the only product that can effectively reduce accidents caused by inclement weather.
